2. Hosting – Cloudflare

This website is hosted via Cloudflare Pages. The extension's API runs on Cloudflare Workers with a Cloudflare D1 (SQLite) database. Provider: Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.

When you visit this website, Cloudflare automatically processes connection data (IP address, pages accessed, timestamps) that are technically necessary to operate the service. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More information: Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technical operation of the service).

3. Browser Extension – Local Data Storage

The BC Navigator extension stores configuration data (Business Central URL, company name, prefix mappings, license key) locally in your browser via chrome.storage.sync. This storage is provided by Google (Chrome) or Microsoft (Edge) and may be synced with your browser account depending on your browser settings.

Your navigation history is stored in chrome.storage.local and never leaves your device.

5. Anonymous Usage Statistics (Telemetry)

The extension sends anonymised usage data to our API (bcnavigator-api.bcnavigator.workers.dev) on each navigation and at regular intervals. This data is stored in our Cloudflare D1 database.

Data sent per event:

BC company name (from your extension configuration)
Event type: navigation, error, or activity ping
Prefix used (e.g. SO)
Search input entered (e.g. 1001 or Smith*)
Extension version and browser type (Chrome or Edge)
Timestamp

No personal user data is collected. In particular, no user identifier is stored — all data is aggregated at company level only and cannot be traced back to individual persons.

6. Cookies and Tracking

This website does not use cookies or tracking tools (no analytics, no ad networks). No cookie banner is required.

7. Contact

If you contact us by email, your details (email address, message content) will be processed and stored solely to handle your enquiry. Your data will not be passed on to third parties.
